Libya to hold international-Arab investment conference in Tripoli on 24 October: Union of Chambers

Libya is to hold an international-Arab investment conference in Tripoli on 24 October this year. The news was revealed by the head of its General Union of Chambers of Commerce Mohamed Raeid.
Raeid made the announcement during his speech on Tuesday during the meetings of the 131st session of the Board of Directors of the Federation of Arab Chambers held virtually and in Dubai from 7-8 June.
Sixteen Arab countries, in the presence of about one hundred Arab personalities from the various federations of chambers of commerce in those countries, participated.
“On this occasion, I am pleased to announce to you our readiness to hold an international-Arab investment conference in Tripoli on October 24, under the direct sponsorship of His Excellency Mr. Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Engineer Abd Alhamid Aldabaiba, and organized by the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Libya with the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States through the Federation of Arab Chambers in partnership with the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank.
This conference aims to re-present Libya as a promising investment destination in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea and strengthening the prospects for partnership and investment in all areas that the country needs, especially reconstruction. The invitation is directed to you and through you to honour us with your presence in your second country, Libya, and to deliver the desired message to all parties and stakeholders by attending this conference.’’
