FCCI concludes visit to Libya for economic cooperation

Sharjah24: The UAE economic delegation, led by Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, wrapped up its visit to the Libyan General Union of Chambers of Commerce (GUCC) in Tripoli, Libya, to develop economic cooperation.

The delegation included Humaid Mohammed bin Salem, Secretary-General of the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, and the heads and managers of several major Emirati companies.

During the visit, the two Federations signed a memorandum of understanding facilitating and fostering projects, commercial activity, and industrial connectivity between private companies and institutions.

Al Owais stated that the move represents both sides’ real desire to exchange perspectives on how to better utilize each other’s capabilities, experiences, and facilities in order to improve cooperative work and increase partnerships between private business sectors’ operations.

“Our meeting with the Emirati economic delegation was distinguished by its cordiality, welcoming, and willingness to work together in the interest of the two countries and increase cooperation in all commercial and investment activities,” said Mohammed Al-Raeed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture.
