Berniq Airways receives AOC from Libyan Civil Aviation Authority

Berniq Airways via its official Facebook and Instagram accounts, announced (11-Feb-2021) it received air operator certification from Libya‘s Civil Aviation Authority. As previously reported by CAPA, the airline plans to use Benghazi Benina International Airport as a hub and will serve destinations including Alexandria, Amman, Istanbul and Tunis with a fleet of A320 aircraft.

Founded in Feb-2019, Berniq Airways planned to start operations in May-2020 and will use Benghazi Benina International Airport as its hub. The airline intends to serve destinations including Alexandria, Amman, Istanbul and Tunis with a fleet of A320 aircraft. It also aims to offer hotel booking, car rental and lounge services. The carrier’s main shareholder is Libya’s Bank of Commerce and Development.
