Audit Bureau updating its project to pay state-sector salaries through pre-payment cards

The Libyan Audit Bureau is continuing to update its project to start paying state-sector salaries through pre-paid cards. It is adding new services through the card made available by technological updates through its implementing partners.
The news was revealed today by Tadawul Technology Company, a leading private sector e-payments company in Libya.
Tadawul reports that the meeting with the Audit Bureau at the end of May discussed the latest technical developments to harness them to serve public sector employees’ salaries, where the Audit Bureau took the initiative to adopt technical updates to supplement the card project.
The Audit Bureau’s salary card project is being implemented in partnership between Tadawul Company and commercial banks operating in Libya. The project was born in early 2018 as a prepaid electronic card charged with part of the salary and accepted at 3,000 different point of sale.
However, with the development of technologies used by Tadawul Company and commercial banks and after the localization of Tadawul’s local payment processor, the possibility of more solutions with newer and greater technologies has expanded Tadawul’s offerings.
The latter was reflected on the contracting parties for this service by updating contracts to include additional services and removing commissions on card holders regarding transactions. It also became available for cash withdrawals, as well as the use of applications and wallets compatible with the card, all of which can be offered and accepted at more than 8,000 effective points of sale covering the entirety of Libya.
