It was in April 1975 when the vessel “Vento di Ponente” started its first voyage to Tripoli and Bengasi carrying 175 containers. Since then, Tarros Group has ensured an ongoing service between both markets.

Now the group is adding new bi-weekly service, Italy Libya Express (ILE), to its routes between the two countries, beginning on 22 March 2021. Danilo Ricci, Tarros’ general manager, spoke of a “direct reliable and efficient service to Libya.”

Founded in 1828, Tarros Group offers shipping services in the Mediterranean Sea, including the coordination of an integrated and complex logistic network. (cd)
